Light Lemon – this has a delicious light lemon taste and is topped with a few sprinkles of candied lemon & orange peel.
Red Velvet – The cake of the moment. Rich, moist cake with a dark red colour
Coffee & Walnut – my personal fave! Coffee cake with coffee butter cream, dipped in dark chocolate topped with walnuts. Yummo
2011 is the year Creative Cake Pops began and what a year it was. Full of creations, markets and wonderful customers. Whilst on a well earned Christmas break we reflected back on the past few months and decided to rebrand the website and also to rename it.
It became apparent during the many events we attended and the orders we received that our customers loved the themed and personalised cake pops we made for them. So we decided to take the big step of rebranding our website and changing our name to more accurately reflect what we offer.
2012 heralds the arrival of Cake Pop Creations – unique, miniature sculpted cakes……on a stick. We have also decided to trail sending interstate as we have had a lot of interest in this area. The new website will also provide the opportunity to shop online.
Another exciting development that happened in late 2011 was an expression of interest from a major national company enquiring on the possibility of stocking our cake pops in their stores. Hopefully this will progress further and I will be able to update you as and when.
In conclusion 2012 is shaping up to a very exciting year!!
Almost time for the Count to make an appearance.

Sunday was a very successful day at the Kalamunda Farmers Market. There were lots of new stalls offering a wide range of produce which is great for our local market. I would just like to say thank you to our supportive customers who make the day so much fun. It’s great to see people’s faces light up, although my West Coast Eagle jersey’s and footie balls caused a few frowns and sad faces!!
Creative Cake Pops will be at the Farmers Market every fortnight from now on and we are hoping to start the Kalamunda Village Market, held on the 1st Saturday of the month….so fingers crossed.
So come down and visit us (next date will be Sunday 9th October).
You may think I’m an avid West Coast Eagles supporter, but alas, you’re wrong!! Much to the dismay of a large portion of Perthites, I know zippity about Footie. But as they are in the Finals round I thought it was my duty as a Perth resident to show some support!
GO EAGLES!!!!!

One of my gorgeous girlfriends gave me a jar of Lavender sugar which is made in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. It smells absolutely divine and this inspired me to make some sumptious cake pops as a thank you. Unfortunately, when I tried to dust the sugar onto the cake pops, it didn’t really show! A quick squiggle of lavender coloured chocolate on top of the cake pops fixed that!
It has been very busy at Creative Cake Pops the past week, what with orders to fill and our first outing at Kalamunda Farmers Market. After only 3 hours sleep prior to the Farmers Market we awoke to howling wind & rain, Perth is so good at creating storms out of nowhere!! Needless to say we were committed to the market and had to go!
Although the weather was completely foul and a lot of the regular stall holders were missing there were some brave souls that ventured out. We did surprisingly well, received lots of positive feedback and orders! Now we just have catch up on the severe lack of sleep!
We are very lucky here in the hills to have lots of native wildlife visit our garden every day. In particular we have a family of Kangaroos, Mum, Dad and baby who hop through our garden each morning and back again in the evening. Today I decided to make the iconic Aussie Kangaroo road sign into a cake pop in honour of our daily visitors!
I did feel slightly disheartened by my creations when my teenage son, on a passing raid of the kitchen cupboards, asked if I was piping chocolate monkeys?! But I think they have turned out pretty good!

Great news! I have been accepted as a stall holder at Kalamunda Farmers Market. To ensure I have a good variety and freshness I will be attending every 2 weeks, I don’t think I could manage every week!!
The Kalamunda Farmers Market is a great place to visit, if you have never been before. Fresh fruit & Veggies, Gourmet Pickles (Mum’s Homemade Chilli Relish is to die for), Bread, Free range eggs, my personal favourite has to be bags of either fresh basil, parsley & mint for only $2. Beautiful freshly pressed olive oil and a whole variety of different takeaway foods. Quite often there is live entertainment and every week there is a bouncy castle for the littlies.
Hope to see you there!
